TED LEO AND THE PHARMACISTS „Hearts Of Oak“ (Lookout) CD 8,- €
Ted Leo finally returns with the follow-up to 2000's "The Tyranny Of Distance" with "Hearts Of Oak" and he's brought his incredible band, The Pharmacists with him. Produced by Nicolas Vernhes and TED LEO himself, "Hearts Of Oak" takes off where "Tyranny" left of, with passionate moments and moods inspired by Generation X, Dexy's Midnight Runners and The Ruts; the album references the intensity and politics of late 70's DC Hardcore scene as well as the political dance pop of Chumbawumba. The basic facts are these: TED LEO used to be in Chisel and The Sin-Eaters. His songwriting and performances are compared to the likes of Thin Lizzy, Paul Weller, Elvis Costello and Billy Bragg and informed by his love of punk rock. TED LEO is one of the most important, original and earnest of today's underground/indie punk scene. Hearts Of Oak is a vital record that defies categorization and is undeniably great on every level.

TEN VOLT SHOCK / NEIGHBOUR ROSICKY split 7“ 2,- €
they totally kick ass here! maximum noise-rock punk-power!!! like the best moments of SHOTMAKER paired with the rocking intensity of KURT (...no surprise, since Frank of KURT plays here as well, as you may know) - and on the flispide, there's NEIGHBOUR ROSICKY, also making a huge step forward since their 12“, with an anthemic rock-tune - bringing to mind comparisons with bands like TELEVISION, british New Wave or the STROKES (if i may say so...)!

THE GREAT CLEARING OFF / THE SOUND OF FAILURE (ed walters) split 7“ 3,- €
The second in a series of split 7"s (Sea of Steal Bike 7" Split Series) celebrating the punk transportation of choice, the bicycle. This latest installment of the bike-oriented series on Ed Walters features two groups from Philadelphia. The Great Clearing Off offers "Love Song" (not a Damned cover) and "Murder Not Justice." Sometimes compared to '90s East Bay punk (Filth/Econochrist) mixed with a wide-eyed, idealistic sentimentality (The Hated), the band prompted Maximum RnR to coin the term "sincerity-core" (anything to avoid the "emo" word, huh?). The GCO delivers strongly on this follow-up to their debut 7" (Cheap Art Records). The Sound of Failure offers two destructive songs, "Assemble/Edit" and "Horsham Clinic." Musically the band molds early Unwound's penchant for chaotic noise with a driving, John Henry West/End of the Line, guitar-driven hardcore. Lyrically, the intensely personal "Horsham Clinic" offers a less glamorized look at the 'nervous breakdown'/'suicide' chic so popular these days. Both SoF songs are new, building on the unique style of their debut 7" on When Humans Attack Records.

TIDAL “moment” LP / CD (Ape must not kill ape / Per Koro) 6,- € / 6,- €
Whatever you're going to call these 6 songs, it will be anything but average. This is not just another trendy emo-screamo-hardcore band. El colectivo TIDAL manages to ban 30 minutes of music on this disc in a blend so unique and touching that you can't just ignore it. The mixture makes this so special. Calm parts reminding of lying on a lonely beach in the Caribbean are interrupted by nervously driving riffs, and from time to time the vocalist starts to sing and the guitars play melodies so urgent and touching that you'll be left entirely stripped and exhausted after listening. All bands you could come up with as comparisons could never even closely describe the complexity of this piece of music. That said, if you like the bands that created the genre of Emo-HC in the mid 80s, and those with the Spock haircuts, you shall like this too. This is a promise!!

TIDAL / ACABAH ROT (Ignition / Memento) split MLP 4,- €
germany’s tidal new release feature’s three new songs of tidals beautiful emo/hardcore that flows and builds with great melodic guitar lines and a mixture of screamy and sung vocals. On the flipside, a new german band called acabah rot provides two tracks of beautiful emo hardcore. All of the songs are five + minutes long.

TIGER LOU „troubles and desire“ MCD 6,- €
Brand new 4 songs by our amazing rasmus!!!!

TILTWHEEL / OVAL (Snuffy Smile) split. 7“ 1,5 €

TIME SPENT DRIVING “walls between us” (Chestnut Cafe) 10“ 7,- €
The amazing debut from TIME SPENT DRIVING, "Walls Between Us" is hot off the presses. Somewhat of a stretch for Sessions Records, this 10“ offers six diverse gems that guide the listener through 25 minutes of indie/post punk bliss. Often compared to Jimmy Eat World, Jawbox, Sunny Day Real Estate and Hum.......Time Spent Driving add something undeniably original to the genre. Driving yet delicate guitars, honest vocals and crushing rhythms are carefully sewn into top notch song writing.

TIM VERSION, THE / BAGGAGE (Snuffy Smile) split 7“ 1,5 €
A brand new seven inch from Snuffy Smile in Japan. Tim Version tracks include "let the Bastardization Begin" and "Pave the Bay". Baggage tracks include "No Answers" and "See Visions".

TIP TOPPERS „packed to the rafters“ (sounds of subterrania) LP/CD 6,- € / 8,- €
The combination of a huge desire to put out his own records, and friends including some of the best Norwegian punk rock musicians is the simple origin of The Tip Toppers. Not a band in the traditional sense, but singer, songwriter and mastermind Sindre Matres lovechild. He’s the undisputable leader, but working with musicians such as Morten Henriksen (The Yums Yums), Pål Andreassen (The Kwyet Kings) and Stig Amundsen (Gluecifer) means that The Tip Toppers appears more like a genuine ass kicking punk rock combo than some sad lonely fanatics wet dream. From being some sort of a lonely (and only) punk rock fan in his small hometown just outside of Oslo, Sindre is finally just months away from completing his goal; his own record. Last year saw the release of the EP “The Tip Toppers”, on the Norwegian label Sneakers. A 6-inch that sure made some waves, being among the favorite records of several radio stations and magazines throughout Europe. Add four tracks on the American sampler “Oslo Confidential” out on Nomad Records in May, a 6-inch EP on Snap Records in Spain in June, and a track on Screaming Apple’s “Popgun 2000”, there’s no doubt that thing’s been happening fast for Sindre and his Tip Toppers. This fall will see the release of The Tip Toppers debut album and fans will once again be severely hit by a high speed cocktail of melodic punkrock.

TO HELL AND BACK „s/t“ (coalition records) 7“ 2,- €
Albany shows it's real collors with these glamrockers. To Hell And Back is a project from John Brown's Army and Devoid Of Faith members making a great mix of punk and pure rock 'n roll. Think about the MC5, ACDC and Iggy and The Stooges. Solo guitars and piano parts do the rest. It made me think of what Turbo Negro probably would be if they had more of a hardcore / punk sound.

TOMTE „schreit..." MCD 2,5 €

TORN APART „NOTHING IS PERMANENT“ CD 5,- €
A hard-rock-hitting furnace blast of super-technical hella-core from Baltimore's most pissed. A ten-song bodybreak of ferocious metal onslaught and churning h.c.-obliteration

TROUBLE MAKERS „göteborg“ (Höhnie) LP 7,- €
These veterans of the swedish punk-scene deliver 16 great tunes from their 4 CD’s + 2 comp-tracks; typical swedish punk with unresistable melodies that keeps the spirit of 66 alive!

Brandnew and a great step ahead from their full length. A lot more distinctive guitar work, still as emotional and heavy as you can get without falling into any genre.. 4 songs and a surprise track! Tupamaros is one of the most amazing new German emo bands [along with Yage] and not only because they have toured Germany recently...
